Things to do

Things to do in Vale, OR

Because Vale Trails RV Park is so close to Idaho's border, you can experience the activities and attractions that both states have to offer! There is much to do like hunting and fishing in Bully Creek or Owyhee lake You can explore the outdoors at Ontario State Recreation Site, Old Fort Boise Park, and Eagle Island State Park. Vale offers a public pool and park for kids. Some of our favorite local attractions are Lake Owyhee (45 min), the Snake River (20 min), and Bully Creek Reservoir (10 min)

Head to a museum-like Four Rivers Cultural Center & Museum to learn about the culture and history of Oregon. Also, be sure to check out the murals throughout Vale.

View cute animals at the Aquarium of Boise (1 hr 15 min), where there are hands-on animal exhibits and animals like sharks, reptiles, stingrays, and manta rays.

While Eagle Island State Park is a family-friendly place to go, you can also try the Wahooz Family Fun Zone (60 min) to play laser tag and hit in the batting cages. A similar place to go is Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park.

Very friendly staff. Next to the historic Oregon railroad. You see evidence of the railroad on your approach from the west, even the tunnel. They operate during the day in town so no noise at night.

The campground is small, but clean and easy to navigate. Be sure to drive the side streets in Vale to see the murals about the early settlers and the different ethnic groups that traveled the Oregon Trail.

We had a great experience staying here. We got in on short notice and had a lovely spot. We had some truck issues on the way into town and the staff were super helpful with getting us the help we needed to continue on the road. Will definitely stay again when we pass through!
