Tubing

Head to Eagle Island State Park's Snow Hill to soar in the snow on a tube. There's a "magic carpet" that makes the climb up the hill easier. Bring the kids and watch them squeal with delight as they tube at this state park. You can also go sledding here. You can get a tubing ticket from Gateway Parks.

Fishing

If you have a fishing license, go fishing in the Boise River, Harton Davis Canal or Eagle Island Park Pond; these waters are open all year long!. You'll be able to catch fish like bluegill, largemouth bass and rainbow trout.

Trails

While the trails at this park aren't really named (some people call them the Eagle Island State Park Loop), they're still great to travel on. You can walk, bike or horseback ride to the Slaughter House, Warden's House, Boise River North Channel, Entrance Kiosk and more! Get a look at the gorgeous landscape of Idaho when visiting this park.

Picnicking

Bring a cold lunch to the park and eat at the Falcon Picnic Shelter, Harrier Picnic Shelter or Kestrel Picnic Shelter. You'll enjoy the cool breeze on your face as you enjoy a delicious sandwich with your family.

Disc golf

Join the Chain Gang Disc Golf Club as they practice at the Eagle Island State Park. You can also bring your own flying disc to play golf with your friends.

Zip line

Although zip lining costs extra, it's worth the price because this activity is exciting and exhilarating. You can choose from medium, short and night zip tours.
